2 Millimeters

Faith is the expression of hope for something better. Some of us have more faith than others, and some have none at all. This may be due to life experiences, simply feeling like "things never work out". I was reading a passage of scripture recently, one I've read thousands of times. This time in reading it, I could visibly see what God was saying to me.

Matthew 17:20 "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can SAY to this mountain, move from here to there and it WILL move. NOTHING will be impossible for you."

A mustard seed is no bigger than 2 millimeters, if you held it in your hand you might miss it if you weren't paying attention, that is how tiny it is. The Word of the Lord gives an illustration of a mountain before us, He says if you speak to the mountain "MOVE FROM HERE TO THERE", it will move. (do me a favor, close your eyes and visualize this.) The amount of faith we need for things to manifest in our lives or someone else's is not great. You may be thinking then why hasn't it happened for me?! Well, there are two reasons I can think of. One, it is out of God's will for you, maybe God has something better and what you are believing in doesn't align with the path He has set out for you OR maybe the faith you have comes with doubt.

This month, I want you to meditate on Matthew 17:20. Examine the faith you do have and the internal thoughts that may hinder that faith. You read it in His word, it WILL move.
